元祖 ｺﾞｽﾍﾟﾙﾌﾞﾙｰｽ！
Gospel＝福音/Blues＝悪魔の音楽 この相反する2つの音楽を融合させた 元祖Gospel BluesmanがBlind Willie JohnsonでR。Texas生まれの全盲の彼が 1928年?1931年にかけて録音した全30曲をｺﾝﾌﾟﾘｰﾄしたのが本CDでR。
彼のｽﾀｲﾙは独創的で強烈なﾀﾞﾐ声に耳を奪われがちだが、ﾅｲﾌの背を使ったｵｰﾌﾟﾝD系のｽﾗｲﾄﾞ、正確なﾋﾞｰﾄを繰り出すｷﾞﾀｰｽﾀｲﾙも痛快で有る。けんどまだまだ わても勉強不足です。ｽﾗｲﾄﾞの音色も言われるまでまさかﾅｲﾌとは気付きましぇんでした。通常のﾎﾞﾄﾙﾈｯｸと余り変わりましぇん。
数曲で奥方のﾃﾞｭｴｯﾄが付きますが、まぁご愛嬌とゆー事で ご勘弁を・・・
まず#1-2 正確に突っ走る躍動感豊かなG ﾀﾞﾐ声に一発でﾉｯｸｱｳﾄ！背筋が寒くなる程の名演です。#1-5 ではｽﾗｲﾄﾞ＆ﾓｰﾝ（呻き）がどうしようもないやるせなさを醸し出し #1-11/13での抑えた表現も逆に深みを生み出している。#2-15は後に Son Houseで有名になった。ﾌﾞﾙｰｽﾌﾞｰﾑの折にはRock系ﾊﾞﾝﾄﾞにこぞってｶﾊﾞｰされた。
ｱﾅﾛｸﾞ時代に比べNoiseが除去され、より真の姿に近付ける様になりましたねぇ?。ｶﾝﾄﾘｰBluesでRobert Johnsonしか知らない方、勿体無い！是非聞いて下さい。後悔はさせませんぜ・・・
